Massage therapy is a great way to relax your body and Mind. It aids deep relaxation, benefits the immune system, and releases muscular pain and tightness.
There are different types of massage. It’s always better to consult with your massage therapist about which kind of massage would be most appropriate for your body.
I am practising the following Massage Therapies:
Tui Na Massage
Tui Na Massage is a body treatment which involves bodywork on different meridians and acupuncture points. The practitioner uses Traditional Chinese Medicine theories to make a diagnosis and applies different bodywork techniques. It’s commonly used together with acupuncture or on its own.
Swedish Massage
Swedish Massage is another way to say Classic Massage. It involves smooth and long movements of the hands. I apply not too much pressure but still deep enough to loosen the tension of the muscles. My hands work together in harmony, sending you to a different reality where stress does not exist.
Deep Tissue Massage
The name talks about it. It’s a massage where heavy pressure is applied to reach deep levels of facia tissue. This type of massage is appropriate for more chronic conditions. Often people may feel a bit sore on the following day after the treatment. It is normal, and it is part of the healing process.
Lymphatic Drainage Massage
During Lymphatic Drainage Massage, the work is focused on the lymphatic system. The Lymphatic System is a network of small pathways which drain lymph fluid from the tissues to the bloodstream. It is an important part of the immune system.
Lymphatic Drainage Massage involves low pressure on the lymph nodes and firm smooth movements in the direction of the lymphatic fluid flow. It reduces water and fluid retention and boosts the immune system.
